CTOnews.com, September 24 (Xinhua)-- according to Nvidia's official news, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 series uses a new dual encoder, which can reduce the waiting time for video export by nearly half.

It is reported that dual encoders can work together and be automatically assigned to achieve two-way output. They can also record content up to 8K60 through GeForce Experience and OBS Studio, creating amazing game videos.

Nvidia said that popular video editing applications in China, "cut Professional Edition", Blackmagic Design's DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe Premiere Pro's more popular Voukoder plug-in all support AV1, and dual encoders can be used through coding presets. These applications are expected to support dual encoders and AV1 in October. We are working with popular video special effects applications Notch and Topaz to help Notch support AV1,Topaz support AV1 and dual encoders as soon as possible.

CTOnews.com learned that the GeForce RTX 40 series uses the eighth generation of NVIDIA video encoders, or NVENC for short, and now supports AV1.

Nvidia said that to enable developers to seamlessly adapt to AV1,NVIDIA, AV1 capabilities will be integrated into NVIDIA Video Codec SDK 12 in October. Developers can also call NVENC AV1 through Google Chrome, Chromium, FFMPEG, or directly using Microsoft Media Framework.
