Apple iOS 16.1 Beta supports disabling AirPods Pro 2 touch volume control

In the iOS 16.1 beta, Apple introduced the ability to disable volume touch control for AirPods Pro 2. CTOnews.com learned that users can use the touch operation of the AirPods Pro 2 headset handle to control media playback and volume adjustment.

Although some users find this feature convenient, some users may not think so. Previously, on the official version of iOS 16.0.2, users could not disable the volume touch control function.

In the iOS 16.1 beta, there is a new toggle switch in the accessibility page of AirPods Pro 2 to enable or disable volume touch control. As before, users can customize the long press function of the AirPods Pro pole, including activating active noise reduction, transparent mode, turning off or calling Siri.

According to previous information, the AirPods Pro 2 is powered by a new H2 chip, with longer battery life, a new charging box, and a new earplug size to better fit the user's ear. Users can use the Apple Watch charger to charge the AirPods Pro. In addition, the MagSafe charger, Qi certified charger or lightning cable are compatible to charge the AirPods Pro. AirPods Pro is also equipped with a newly designed anti-perspiration and water-resistant charging box and includes lanyard holes.
