Beijing time on September 26 evening news, according to reports, Tesla Germany factory fire today, fortunately no casualties reported.

According to the fire department, a fire broke out at Tesla's car factory in Germany at 3:30 a.m. local time (9:30 a.m. Beijing time) on Monday. At an outdoor recycling point, 800 cubic meters of cardboard, paper and sawdust caught fire, and the local fire department received a call.

About five hours later, the fire was basically extinguished, causing no casualties. Tesla's fire department took over the operation, but local firefighters remained on the scene.

A spokesman for the local department said the cause of the fire had not yet been determined and police were investigating. Tesla has not commented on the specific cause of the fire and whether it will affect car production.

Back in November 2019, Tesla announced plans to build a new factory in Gruenheide, Germany, to cater to Europe's rapidly growing demand for electric vehicles. However, due to environmental problems, the project was delayed again and again until this year. German car factories are scheduled to produce about 500,000 cars a year.

In addition, Tesla filed an application with the city government of Glenhead in May this year to expand the plant area of its German factory by 1/3 and build a battery factory with an annual cell capacity expected to exceed 50 gigawatt hours.
