BMW expects to deliver 400000 electric vehicles in 2023

CTOnews.com, September 26 (Xinhua)-- BMW expects delivery of electric vehicles to increase by 70% next year, according to Bloomberg. BMW's chief financial officer said that demand for Nicolas Peter remains strong, with global deliveries of BMW electric vehicles expected to reach 400000 units in 2023. BMW expects to deliver 240000 to 245000 electric vehicles this year.

Like other carmakers, BMW has had to cope with semiconductor shortages and supply chain disruptions associated with the outbreak, which have slowed production of electric vehicles, CTOnews.com has learned.

Global sales this year will fall slightly compared with last year because of losses in the first half, Nicolas Peter said. However, he added that the company's goal next year was to make "another big leap" in pure electric vehicles.
