According to Ofeiguang's official account, Ofeiguang has successfully developed a new generation of VR Pancake optical machine modules. The product adopts folded optical path 3P lens design, uses curved surface coating technology, and has the advantages of total length of short lens, myopia adjustment, refractive adjustment FOV unchanged, low dispersion, high PPD (pixel density) and so on, which can greatly reduce the weight and volume of VR headsets.

According to official reports, compared with traditional aspheric lenses and Fresnel lenses, the Ofi VR Pancake optical machine module has achieved a series of major breakthroughs in thinning, imaging quality, and adjustable diopter, as follows:

Total length of short shot

Traditional VR lenses use aspheric lenses or Fresnel lenses, and the rear focal length of the optical system leads to the total height of the lens > 25mm. Ofeiguang uses a folded optical path design, and the short rear focus design brings a shorter total lens length (20mm), making the VR more lightweight.

Myopia regulation

The module can adjust 50 ~ 500 degrees myopia by using moderate ring adjustment, and myopic patients can focus clearly without wearing glasses.

Refractive adjustment FOV has no change.

Using Ofi VR Pancake 3P lens design, the FOV difference corresponding to different diopter (0.5D~5D) is less than 0.2 degree, and the picture size seen by users with different degrees is the same. There is no need to adjust the post-processing picture due to the change of visual angle, and the energy consumption of the system calculus is reduced.

Low dispersion

Traditional 3P Pancake, dispersion as large as 100~200um. The Ofei VR Pancake lens is designed with a 3P structure and a low dispersion material, which reduces the Lateral color to 9.9um (
