Boeing said that the modification of the 100th 737-800BCF was completed by Shanghai Boeing Aviation Modification and maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Boeing), and the world's first 737-800BCF retrofit line was launched in the Boeing joint venture in 2016.

CTOnews.com learned that Shanghai Boeing is one of the five 737-800BCF global retrofit centers located in three countries, and a second retrofit line has been added after the start of the project.

In addition, the customer of the plane is the leasing company AerCap. It is reported that the AerCap cargo department has leased the aircraft to Brazil's GOL, which will operate it for a Latin American e-commerce company. AerCap Freight now has the world's largest fleet of 737-800BCF aircraft, including 65 confirmed orders and 9 optional orders.

Boeing data show that the 737-800BCF reduces industrial fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions by 20 per cent per tonne compared with previous models, allowing users to transport more industrial loads with less fuel. The 737-800BCF fleet has flown more than 70,000 sorties, with an average daily utilization rate of 7 hours. So far, 737-800BCF has received more than 250 orders and purchase intentions from more than 20 customers.
