With a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, construction began in the section from Xiongan New area to Shangqiu of Jingxiong Shang High Speed Railway.

According to the official Wechat account of "China Railway", construction of the section from Xiongan New area to Shangqiu of Jingxiong Commercial High-speed Railway officially began today, according to CTOnews.com on September 29.

CTOnews.com learned that the section from Xiongan New area to Shangqiu of the Jingxiong-Shang high-speed railway is an important part of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network, with a design speed of 350km per hour, a total length of 552km, and a construction period of four years.

From Xiongan New area of Jingxiong High Speed Railway to Shangqiu, from Xiongan Station of Jingxiong Intercity Railway, through Xiongan New area of Hebei Province, Cangzhou City, Hengshui City and Xingtai City, Liaocheng City of Shandong Province, Puyang City of Henan Province, Jining City and Heze City of Shandong Province to Shangqiu City of Henan Province, finally to Shangqiu Station of Shanghe-Hangzhou High-speed Railway. In addition, bridges on all lines account for about 94%, of which the Yellow River Bridge, located in Taiqian County, Puyang City, Henan Province, is a full-line control project.

In September, the National Railway Group promoted the construction of five projects, including the Xiongan New area to Shangqiu Section of the Jingxiong Commercial High-speed Railway and the Nanchang-Jiujiang High-speed Railway; during the year, it will also promote the construction of 20 projects, including the Xiongan New area to Xinzhou High-speed Railway, the Chengdu-Chongqing Middle Line High-speed Railway, the Xining-Chengdu Railway, and the Jinghe-Alashankou Railway. The total mileage of the new lines in the 25 new projects has reached 5387 km, with a total investment of 1.1981 trillion yuan.
