AF naming originally started with Ryzen 5 1600 AF. Compared with the original Zen, it uses an upgraded Zen+ kernel and is cheaper than Ruilong 5 2600 while ensuring good performance.

CTOnews.com learned that, in fact, "AF" is not the actual name, but what private users call the processor. The only way to distinguish R5 1600AF from R5 1600 is to look at the serial number of the box. The former has the letter "AF" at the end, which is different from the "AE" on 1600, so Ryzen 5 1600AF is actually an unofficial name.
