Microsoft Outlook Web is optimizing the sidebar of Win11/10 Edge browser

CTOnews.com, September 29 (Xinhua) this summer, Microsoft introduced a sidebar for Windows 11 and 10 Edge browsers, allowing users to easily open applications without leaving their pages. In August, Microsoft Edge 104 was released to a stable channel and then upgraded to version 104.0.1293.63. This update provides some new features for the Edge sidebar, including Outlook, Office, and games.

Although the tool has proved to be very effective in terms of accessibility and time savings, there is still room for improvement. For example, the Outlook for web provided in the Edge sidebar has not been optimized. Pages that are usually fully displayed in the window become distorted when displayed in the sidebar pane, and the user needs to scroll the entire page.

But that is about to change, as Microsoft is currently testing an optimized version of Outlook for web, which now fits perfectly into the Edge sidebar to improve visibility and readability.

CTOnews.com learned that when using Outlook for web in the sidebar, users will not be able to add multiple accounts. More importantly, it doesn't seem to support dark mode at the moment.
