CTOnews.com Sept. 30, Apple launched an official update of iOS 16.0.2 (internal version number: 20A380) to iPhone users on September 23. A week later, Apple closed authentication channels for iOS 16.0 and 16.0.1, meaning that users upgrading to iOS 16.0.2 will not be able to downgrade from this version to the previous two versions.

IOS 16.0.2 addresses some of the Bug that affect the iPhone 14 model and other iPhone running iOS 16, including an issue that could cause the camera to dither and blur the image in third-party camera applications, fixed a problem that caused repeated copy and paste popups, and resolved an issue that caused the display screen to blacken during setup.

Apple iOS 16.0.1, launched on September 15 for iPhone 14 / Pro users only, fixes bugs that may affect the activation and migration of new iPhone, as well as issues related to enterprise and photo apps.

The official version of Apple iOS 16 was launched on September 13, with a number of new features and improvements, such as a new custom lock screen, iMessage editing undo, and support for AirPods Pro 2 headphones.

However, CTOnews.com partners can still downgrade from iOS 16.0.2 to iOS 15.7 because Apple has also released the official version of iOS 15.7, which is reserved for users who do not want to upgrade the official version of iOS 16 for the time being.

IOS 15.7 official version fixes security issues with contacts, maps, Safari, Safari extensions, shortcuts, and WebKit, as well as several kernel vulnerabilities. Apple said that one of the kernel vulnerabilities has been actively exploited, so users who cannot update to iOS 16 should install iOS 15.7 and iPadOS 15.7 as soon as possible.
