At present, many professional airworthiness review subjects such as performance and flight, structural strength, design and construction, ground control station, airborne human-computer interaction, overall and continuous airworthiness have been determined, and compliance verification activities are being prepared. At the same time, phased results are obtained in the aspects of special algorithm based on dynamic principle and boundary flight test of overload coefficient.

CTOnews.com learned that Ehang Intelligence said that on the basis of the more than 30,000 safety test flights previously accumulated by EH216-S, the company plans to start further supplementary verification and flight test verification in October this year. At present, the EH216-S manned autopilot has completed more than 30,000 safety test flights, including manned test flights and test flights in high altitude, typhoon, desert, fog and other extreme weather conditions.

According to reports, the EH216-S is a manned self-driving electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle (eVTOL). Compared with traditional aircraft, its configuration, configuration, operation mode and flight environment all have great innovations, so it is impossible to directly follow the established standards in the traditional civil aviation field for airworthiness verification, so it is necessary to creatively formulate approval standards on the basis of existing policies, regulations, standards and experience. So far, the autopilot eVTOL has passed the model approval, and there is no precedent in the world. The EH216-S manned autopilot model approval applied for by Yihang Intelligence will also be the first in the world.
