Liu Deyin, chairman of TSMC, has repeatedly said that the establishment of a factory in Germany is still in the early stage of evaluation. He pointed out at this year's shareholders' meeting that TSMC will continue to evaluate possible plant construction plans in various locations, and that overseas plant construction will focus on customer demand. Taiwan media pointed out that the case of TSMC building a factory in Germany is still under evaluation.

CTOnews.com learned that financial data show that TSMC's consolidated revenue in August 2022 was about NT $218.13 billion (about RMB 49.297 billion), an increase of 16.8% from a month earlier and a year-on-year increase of 58.7%. Cumulative revenue in the first eight months of this year was about NT $1.43 trillion (about RMB 323.18 billion), up 43.5 per cent from a year earlier.
