CTOnews.com, Oct. 4, Microsoft has confirmed that there is another problem in the recently released Windows 11 2022 update, which can lead to performance degradation in copying large files.

Ned Pyle, chief project manager of the Windows server engineering team, published an article on the Technology Community Forum warning users of performance degradation when copying large files from remote computers to systems running the latest version of Windows 11 22H2.

According to Ned, users running Windows 11 2022 updates may reduce their throughput over SMB by 40% when copying GB or more large files, and this issue does not affect previous Windows 11 versions.

Interestingly, this error is not specific to SMB, which means that users may experience performance degradation even when copying local files. Microsoft is currently investigating the problem and trying to figure out how to fix it, and affected users can use Robocopy or xcopy with / J parameters to recover the lost performance.

CTOnews.com has learned that Microsoft has recently confirmed another problem that is specific to the latest version of Windows 11. The company says users using specific printer drivers may lose some features, such as color, double-sided printing, paper size settings, and so on.
