CTOnews.com October 5 news, local time on October 4, Polish independent game development studio Gruby Entertainment announced that Tencent Holdings Co., Ltd. has agreed to acquire a minority stake in the company.

CTOnews.com learned that Grzegorz Michalak, chief executive of Gruby, said: "this month is the second anniversary of Gruby Entertainment Studio. Maintaining a long-term relationship with one of the most important technology companies in the world is the best recognition of our work."

At the same time, Grzegorz Michalak said: "it has always been our goal to provide high-quality games for hardcore players. With the support of Tencent, we have acquired a wide range of technologies and many new opportunities to expand our team and game scope."

Tencent aims to promote the development of the Polish gaming company through minority investment and to establish a long-term partnership focused on producing high-quality action games. After the investment, Warsaw-based Gruby will maintain full creative and operational autonomy.

Gruby is the developer of death Link, the studio's first game. The game will be available to players on October 18, 2022.
