CTOnews.com, October 5 (Xinhua)-- Lenovo Japan Co., Ltd. will sell the "ThinkPad X1 Fold" with a 16.3-inch folded OLED display in mid-October, starting at 542300 yen (about 26573 yuan), according to PC Watch.

CTOnews.com learned that the ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 carries a 9W model of the 12-generation Core U series, with up to 32GB's LPDDR5 memory and 1TB's SSD.

On the screen side, the ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 is equipped with a 16.3-inch OLED screen with a scale of about 4:3 and a resolution of 2560 x 2par 024 dint SDR brightness 400N, HDR brightness 600N, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and screen frame of only 8mm. After attaching the keyboard to the lower half of the screen, it can be transformed into a 12-inch regular notebook.

In other respects, the new ThinkPad X1 Fold comes standard with a 48 Wh battery, a 65 W power adapter, two Lightning 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Type-C interface and a nano-SIM card slot. The weight of the new ThinkPad X1 Fold is 1.28kg, plus the total weight of the bracket and keyboard is 1.9kg.

Lenovo initially announced that the ThinkPad X1 Fold is expected to go public in November 2022, starting at $2499 (about 17243.1 yuan).
