According to data from the Federation of passengers, retail sales of new energy passenger cars reached 529000 in August, an increase of 111.2% over the same period last year, and a month-on-month increase of 8.8% from January to August to form a "W" trend. From January to August, the domestic retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles were 3.262 million, an increase of 119.7% over the same period last year.

In addition, retail sales in the passenger car market reached 1.871 million units in August 2022, an increase of 28.9 percent over the same period last year, the highest growth rate in the past decade; retail sales grew 2.9 percent in August, the second lowest in the same period in nearly 10 years. From January to August, retail sales totaled 12.95 million vehicles, an increase of 0.1 percent over the same period last year and 13000 vehicles over the same period last year.
