CTOnews.com, October 6 (Xinhua)-- Shazam, a pop music recognition service acquired by Apple in 2018, updated its iPhone and iPad apps yesterday. Songs recognized by users using Siri on iOS 16 will be synchronized to the Music recognition History of the Shazam App database and control center.

Shazam is a music App that allows users to recognize songs simply by listening to music being played around them or on their devices.

Apple has added a music recognition function to the iOS 14 control center, and if users press the Shazam control center icon for a long time, they will have a long history of songs. If the user uses the Control Center button to identify the music content, the songs listed here are displayed, but not if the user asks Siri to recognize the song.

CTOnews.com learned that with the update of version 15.20, Shazam Music God search App's music recognition history will display songs recognized by users using Siri on iOS 16.

At last year's WWDC21, Apple announced that users have used Shazam to identify songs more than 1 billion times a month, and has achieved more than 50 billion tags since its inception.
