Airbus Announces delivery of 500th A350 Series aircraft

CTOnews.com October 6 news, Airbus has now announced the latest milestone in the delivery of the A350: the delivery of the 500th A350 aircraft by the end of September 2022. At present, Airbus A350 series aircraft have been delivered to 39 airlines, flying more than 900 routes around the world.

Photo Source: Airbus said that the A350-900 was recently delivered to Iberia Airlines, which ordered a total of 20 A350, of which 14 have been put into operation. CTOnews.com learned that the A350 series now includes A350-900, A350-1000 and the new A350F freighter.

According to Airbus, compared with the previous generation of aircraft, the A350 has better performance, its fuel consumption and carbon dioxide can be reduced by 25%, and noise imprinting is reduced by 50%.

In addition, the delivery of the 500th A350 also marks the unveiling of the new production standard 2022. The standard brings additional performance and cabin improvements to the A350-900 and A350-1000.

Compared with the previous standard, the new production standard can reduce weight by up to 1.2 tons. The maximum takeoff weight also increased by 3 tons and the payload was increased at the same time. The increase in the new standard cabin space enables airlines to add more than 30 seats under a typical third-class cabin layout.
