Streets of Rogue 2 is a program-generated, open-world game that offers players multiple choices, vast freedom, and anarchic fun. Inspired by open world games such as Skyrim, Grand Theft Auto, Valheim, and Stardew Valley, the game focuses on a streamlined, fast-paced gaming experience. The game also incorporates elements of freedom, experimentation, and adaptive gameplay from RPGs such as Deus Ex to create a true sandbox gaming experience.

The game is set in a seamless, randomly generated world of cities, forests, islands, caves, and occasionally cannibal tribes. You can explore and write your own story as you please, such as earning fame and prestige by doing some good deeds, building a small but loyal army of ruffians ready to overthrow the government, or accumulating a lot of wealth by building an agricultural empire.
