CTOnews.com, Oct. 7, according to CCTV, the Shenzhen-Jiangmen high-speed railway (hereinafter referred to as Shenjiang high-speed railway) will officially start construction in the near future.

According to reports, the Shenzhen high-speed railway is an important part of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network, connecting Xiamen to Shenzhen in the east and Jiangmen to Zhanjiang in the west. The line starts from the newly-built Xili Station in Shenzhen and connects to Jiangmen Station of the Jiangmen-Zhanjiang Railway to the west through Dongguan City, Guangzhou City, Zhongshan City and Jiangmen City. The total length of the main line is 116 kilometers, and the construction period is five and a half years.

CTOnews.com learned that construction of the Shenjiang Railway is scheduled to start at the end of September this year and be completed on March 31, 2028.

The whole line of the project consists of 7 stations: Xili (excluding), Shenzhen Airport East, Dongguan Binhai Bay, Nansha, Zhongshan North, Henglan and Jiangmen (inclusive); railway grade high-speed railway; design speed: 250km / h, 200km per hour from Xili to Nansha.

There are seven stations on the Shenjiang high-speed railway, of which Jiangmen Station is an existing station, Shenzhen Xili Station and other six stations are new stations. Bridges and tunnels account for 98% of the total line, of which the Pearl River Estuary Tunnel, with a total length of 13.69 km and a maximum buried depth of 106 meters, is a full-line controlled project; and seven projects, including the Shensi Tunnel, Hongqili Highway and Railway Bridge, and Shenzhen Airport East Station, are important and difficult projects on the whole line.
