CTOnews.com, October 9, according to the Taiwan media central news agency, financial data show that the wafer foundry's world-advanced monthly revenue of 3.693 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 831 million yuan) was 25.73% lower than the previous month, 11.46% lower than the same period last year, a 14-month low.

The world advanced said that the decline in wafer shipments was the main reason for the decline in revenue in September. In addition, World Advanced's third-quarter revenue of 13.328 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 2.999 billion yuan) was slightly better than the expected NT $129-13.3 billion, a decrease of 12.89 percent from the previous quarter.

CTOnews.com learned that in the first three quarters of this year, the world's advanced cumulative revenue was 42.121 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 9.477 billion yuan), an increase of 34.94 percent over the same period last year.

Taiwan media pointed out that with the weak demand in the consumer market and customers actively adjusting inventory, the world's advanced capacity utilization declined significantly in the third quarter, and large and small sizes drove IC shipments to decrease simultaneously, which was the main reason for the decline in performance.

Looking to the future, World Advanced had expected that customers would continue to adjust their inventory in the fourth quarter, which could continue into the first half of next year. The legal person expects that the world's advanced fourth-quarter results may continue to be affected.
