The first preview release of Unreal engine 5.1
According to CTOnews.com, October 9, the first preview of Unreal engine 5.1 has been released and is available for download in Epic Games launcher and GitHub repositories.
According to Epic, Unreal engine 5.1 improves the features provided when Unreal engine 5 was released, creating a more streamlined and easy-to-use workflow for real-time 3D content creation.
Developers will see performance improvements in Lumen, Nanite and Virtual Shadow Maps (VSM), which now support running games at 60 fps on next-generation consoles and PC.
In addition, developers can use World Partition's new features and improved workflows to build a broad world, including support for Large World Coordinates, and enjoy significant improvements in the movie process, such as ICVFX's performance and usability improvements.
CTOnews.com learned that Unreal engine 5.1 also added a PSO automatic collection feature to solve the shader stutter problem that has plagued Unreal engine 4 + games for a long time. CTOnews.com partners can experience Unreal engine 5.1 in the Epic Games launcher.
