Hackers leaked more than 1.2 million credit card information to the dark Internet.

CTOnews.com October 11 news, dark web marketplace BidenCash published more than 1.2 million credit card details.

According to the Bleeping Computer report, the leaked information includes card number, expiration date, CVV number, cardholder name, bank name, card type, physical address, email address, social security number and telephone number. This information is sufficient for cybercriminals to commit financial fraud and identity theft.

CTOnews.com has learned that most of the cards are from the US region, while others are from India, Brazil, the UK, Mexico, Australia, Spain and China. Some of these cards expire after 2023, while others will remain valid until 2026.

The leak appears to be a publicity campaign for BidenCash's new store domain after its original store domain was hit by a DDoS attack. To ensure wider impact, cybercriminals distribute these URLs through public domains and various hacking and swiping forums.

Darknet credit card dumps like this are usually scams because other dumps contain only fake data or data recycled from old dumps are wrapped under new names. Cybersecurity firm D3Labs, however, confirmed that about 30 percent of credit cards are valid, meaning about 350,000 cards may still be valid.

To protect your credit card from hackers, always verify that the credit card information you enter is authentic. In addition, if the user detects any suspicious transactions, please contact the card issuing bank immediately so that the card can be prevented from being stolen.
