Square Enix Montreal has changed its name to Onoma Studio and has developed a number of Tomb Raider mobile games.

CTOnews.com October 11 news, after being acquired by Sweden's Embracer Group, Square Enix Montreal Studio recently announced that it has changed its name to Onoma Studio (Studio Onoma).

The new logo of ▲ Onoma Studio, which says on its website that Onoma means "name" in Greek, and that "name offers unlimited possibilities".

CTOnews.com learned that Square Enix Montreal, founded in 2011, has developed mobile games such as "Killer Go", "Killer: sniping", "Laura Go", "Breaking the siege Go", "Tomb Raider: reload" and other mobile games.

History of ▲ Square Enix Montreal in May, Embracer Group announced the acquisition of Crystal Power, Eidos Montreal and Square Enix Montreal for $300 million in cash, as well as more than 50 familiar IP series, such as the "Deus Ex" series, "Tomb Raider" series, "Thief", "Kane's Legacy" (Legacy of Kain) and the Japanese publisher's "50" series.

Square Enix said in an official statement at the time that the deal would allow it to focus on investments in blockchain, artificial intelligence and cloud. In addition, the company intends to reshape its digital entertainment portfolio, in part through the creation of a new IP, accelerated decision-making through integrated group management, and "improved game development capabilities through the establishment of new studios, mergers and acquisitions".
