Meta announced at its Meta Connect event on Tuesday that its next-generation meta-universe image will include legs and feet and will be able to support the use of avatars from the Meta Horizon in more places online.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, said at the event: "legs are really not easy to do. We will first take them to the horizon [the world], and as we improve our technology stack, we will continue to bring them to more experiences."

On the basis of the legs, the Meta meta-cosmic avatar will also display a wider range of facial expressions and responses to better express people's feelings. People will also be able to choose more body types and skin colors for their avatars to better represent who they are.

Meta also announced a new feature that allows users to use Meta Horizon avatars in Zoom conferences, which is called Mission Zoom. If the attendee does not want to appear on the screen but still wants to appear on the screen, Meta's metamaterial avatar will be able to take his place.

These features are expected to arrive in 2023.
