Melinda Gates: the Gates Foundation will continue to operate for 20 years after the death of me and Bill Gates

According to news in the morning of October 12, Beijing time, Melinda Frankie Gates reportedly said that the multibillion-dollar foundation she runs with Bill Gates will continue to operate for 20 years after their death. This statement is different from what her ex-husband Bill Gates said last month.

At the end of September, Bill Gates said the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation would only last for another 25 years. Melinda Gates refuted Bill Gates at the Fortune most influential Women Summit in California.

"I think he was thinking about something and said it before we made a decision," she said.

Last year, Bill Gates and Melinda Gates officially divorced after 27 years of marriage. The two men said they would continue to work together for the foundation.

Melinda Gates said she had signed a document with her ex-husband to dissolve the foundation 20 years after their death. According to the latest estimates, the foundation currently has a donation of $70 billion.

"our goal is that whatever the reason, the resources accumulated from Microsoft will eventually be in the hands of both of us, and these resources will return to society," she said. "
