Similar to the Win11 design, photos of Microsoft Surface Duo 2 running Android 12L are exposed
Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen iWear for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, Oct. 13, a few days ago, a new report revealed details of the upcoming update of Microsoft's Android dual-screen smartphone. Microsoft will bring Android 12L updates to the Surface Duo family of devices and will introduce a redesigned UI, similar to the Windows 11 style design.
Windows Central has released updated design photos for the original Surface Duo and Surface Duo 2 Android 12L. CTOnews.com learned that the system comes with a fuzzy background and new buttons similar to the Windows 11 control and notification center, as well as a set of settings application icons extracted from Microsoft's operating system.
The photo also shows additional customization settings, such as palettes and accent colors, as well as new feed streaming sections with widgets similar to those in Windows 11. Microsoft wants to make its Surface smartphone look as similar as possible to Windows 11 to provide a seamless experience.
It is not clear exactly when Microsoft plans to push the Android 12L update. Microsoft had previously said the update would be launched "later this year".
