Nintendo and Tiger tag Heuer launched a joint "Mario Racing" chronograph, about 184000 yuan
CTOnews.com, October 14 (Xinhua)-- Swiss luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer has partnered with Nintendo to launch the Mario Racing joint model.
The watch series, called TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Mario Kart Limited Edition, comes in two designs:
Chronograph: $4300 (about 30831 yuan)
Tourbillon Chronograph: $25600 (about 184000 yuan)
According to Tiger tag Heuer, the $25600 tourbillon chronograph comes with a 45mm case made of grade 5 titanium, a unique black polished ceramic bezel marked with 400KM / H speedometer scale and a hollowed-out TRI-COMPAX dial with a custom tourbillon.
The back of the case is also made of custom sapphire glass, and the wearer can see the "ultra-precision COSC certified tag Heuer 02t movement" in the watch. The black calfskin strap is lined in red with a titanium folding clasp decorated with the M logo.
The other $4300 chronograph comes with a 44mm polished steel case, a black ceramic speedometer bezel with the "Mario Racing" logo, a fixed seconds indicator set at 9 o'clock and inside the iconic red circle. Display the image of Malio on the custom asphalt-textured chronograph.
The screw-in back of the watch is made of stainless steel, engraved with the "Mario Racing" logo and Mario outline.
CTOnews.com learned that this is the second time Tiger has worked with Nintendo. Last year, the two companies teamed up to launch a $2150 (15416 yuan) "Super Mario" limited smartwatch with Wear OS, which quickly sold out.
