CTOnews.com, October 16, according to the official of the United States, on October 14, the construction of a new production and research base invested by American Building Technology in Europe officially laid the foundation in Feltre, northeastern Italy. The new production and R & D base is located in Clivet, a high-end commercial air-conditioning brand owned by Building Technology in Feltley, Italy.

▲ source: Midea said that Clivet's main products include water chillers, heat pumps, air treatment and purification systems. The company has a production and operating area of more than 50,000 square meters and a total staff of more than 700 in Feltley.

CTOnews.com learned that, according to the plan, the new production base will invest 60 million euros, including heat pump production centers and research and development centers, with an annual production capacity of 300000 heat pumps, which is expected to be put into production in the second quarter of 2024. After completion, the key materials of heat pump products will be made and sold in Europe, and the cycle from order to delivery of heat pump products will be shortened from 5 months to 1 month.

Data show that overseas business accounts for more than 40 per cent of Midea's annual revenue of more than 300 billion yuan. So far, Midea's global business covers more than 200 countries and regions, with about 30,000 overseas employees.

According to reports, Midea currently has 18 production bases in nine countries, including Vietnam, Belarus, Egypt, India, Brazil, Argentina, Thailand, Italy and Japan, and has a preliminary logistics distribution and installation capacity in more than 20 countries.
