Southern Power Grid: Guangdong achieves full coverage of public charging piles in villages and towns
CTOnews.com, October 17, according to the Southern Metropolis Daily, Guangdong Power Grid said that with the recent completion and operation of public charging stations such as Baisha Town in Qingyuan City, Qiaochong Town in Shanwei City, and Tiaofeng Town in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province has achieved full coverage of public charging piles in 1123 townships under its jurisdiction on October 10. So far, the universal guaranteed charging network covering urban public, intercity highway, township and other areas has basically taken shape in Guangdong.
Guangdong Power Grid Corporation actively supports the development of new energy vehicle industry and speeds up the construction of a charging service guarantee system. It has invested more than 3 billion yuan in Guangdong, and built about 4600 charging stations and more than 30,000 charging piles in 20 prefectures and cities.
Guangdong Power Grid Company expects to invest more than 4 billion yuan in Guangdong during the 14th five-year Plan period, speed up the construction of charging infrastructure, and put into operation about 40,000 new charging piles. At the same time, we will vigorously promote the construction of charging facilities in residential communities and actively improve the charging network along the highway.
CTOnews.com learned that in August this year, Southern Power Grid said that Guangxi and Hainan would achieve full coverage of township charging piles by the end of this year, while Yunnan and Guizhou were expected to achieve 70 per cent coverage by the end of the year. It is expected that the five southern provinces and regions will achieve full coverage of charging facilities in tourist scenic spots above Class A this year, and full coverage of charging piles in villages and towns next year.
