CTOnews.com, October 17, after the release of Google Chromecast TV stick with Google TV (HD), Google confirmed to foreign media 9to5Google that the old Chromecast with Google TV (4K) would be updated to Android 12 in the near future.

Today, the old Chromecast with Google TV (4K) has been updated with Android 12, upgrading from Android 10 to Android 12.

The build number of the update is STTE.220621.019.A2.9082754, the update size is 722MB, and the security patch for July 2022 is included.

The new version brings some new features introduced by Google on Android 12 last year, including camera and microphone switches, cameras and microphone access that allow users to disable or enable apps.
