CTOnews.com news on October 18, foreign media CapFrameX found an interesting phenomenon when testing the AMD R9 7950X 16 core processor. After shielding an 8-core CCD, R9 7950X has a higher frame rate of running "Metro: leaving".

It is reported that the AMD R9 7950X 16 core processor shows some strange phenomena in terms of the maximum frequency distribution between its cores. The processor uses two 8-core CCD cores, in which the core in CCD-1 has a higher frequency than the core in CCD-2, with a difference of up to 300 MHz.

CapFrameX notes that when CCD-2 is disabled, the processor provides higher game performance by up to 10 per cent. With CCD-2 disabled, CCD-1 can have higher power, keeping higher frequencies on its eight cores for longer.

CTOnews.com learned that the AMD R9 7950X flagship processor is now available at 5499 yuan in a box and needs to be equipped with the latest X670 or B650 series motherboards.
