Musk said 30,000 bottles of "charred hair" perfume had been sold out, generating 21.6 million yuan in revenue
CTOnews.com, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) on October 12, Musk's tunnel startup Boring Company launched a new limited edition perfume called Burnt Hair (charred hair), which sells for up to $100. according to Musk's tweet, a total of 30,000 bottles of charred hair perfume have been sold out, which means it has generated 21.6 million yuan a week for Musk.
In less than 24 hours after the order page of the perfume was launched on The Boring Company, total sales exceeded $1 million. Some people even resell the perfume on eBay for as much as ten times the original price.
CTOnews.com learned that Boring had sold many novel items in the past, such as the Not-A-Flamethrower flamethrower. According to Boring Company's website, the perfume will be shipped in the first quarter of 2023.
