According to reports, the Tiankun is the largest and most advanced self-propelled suction ship designed and built independently in Asia, and it is also the most intelligent heavy-duty self-propelled suction ship in the world. The whole captain is 140m wide, the maximum depth is 35m, the total installed power is 25843 kilowatts, the designed dredging is 6000 cubic meters per hour, and the rated power of the cutter is 6600 kilowatts. It is the largest and most advanced cutter suction dredger in Asia, and it is also the self-propelled suction dredger with the highest level of intelligence in the world.

CTOnews.com learned that the cutter suction dredger uses a rotating cutter to loosen the soil at the bottom of the river or the bottom of the sea, mix it with cement into mud, suck the pump body through the mud suction pipe and send it to the mud discharge area through the mud discharge pipe. During the construction of cutter suction dredger, dredging, mud conveying and mud unloading are all integrated, which is completed by itself, and the production efficiency is high.

The first phase of the south extension of the 100,000-ton channel in Ganyu Port area of Lianyungang Port extends westward on the basis of the 100,000-ton main channel in Ganyu Port area. The total length of the channel is 3135 meters and the navigation width is 190m. In the process of construction, the "Tiankun" will overcome many difficulties, such as complex soil quality in the construction area, difficult remote transportation of dredged soil, large pipeline wear, tight construction period, and so on. Once again, it shows its hard core function as a heavy weapon of a big country, such as "strong digging ability, long transportation distance, excellent environmental protection operation and high intelligent level".
