At the same time, the research and development of Jidu high-level intelligent driving has started the testing of urban and high-speed areas in Shanghai in early October, and entered the generalization stage of multi-city scenarios.
According to Xia Yiping, "through the SIMUCar software and hardware decoupling development, the car robot ROBO-01 'body' and 'brain' can achieve two-line parallel." After entering the new stage of research and development, ROBO-01 will conduct 'hardware and software integration testing in the same environment' based on the verification sample car, which prepares for the next stringent 'three high' tests, batch vehicle engineering testing and other verification work, and takes an important step towards large-scale production and delivery in 2023. "
It is reported that the set verification sample car is a verification prototype built according to the standardized production process of the mass production vehicle, which is used to verify the related processes of the whole vehicle and the stability of the software system carried. At the offline ceremony on October 17, the first verification sample car completed software filling and basic function software debugging within 2 hours after going offline, and successfully realized many functions such as voice awakening. According to past experience, this process usually takes two to three weeks.
