In the field of hydrogen fuel cell, Toyota fuel cell R & D and production project lays the foundation in Beijing.
CTOnews.com, October 26 (Xinhua)-- according to Toyota official Weibo, the groundbreaking ceremony of Toyota fuel cell R & D and production project (phase I) was held in Beijing Economic and technological Development Zone on October 24.
Toyota said the project is an important strategic move for Toyota to introduce and promote hydrogen fuel cell technology in China in the field of hydrogen fuel cells. The main body of the project is composed of Joint fuel Cell system Research and Development (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (referred to as FCRD) and Huafeng fuel Cell Co., Ltd. (referred to as FCTS), which will build fuel cell system production lines, testing lines and R & D centers to produce fuel cell system products and carry out fuel cell system related R & D work.
Among them, FCRD was jointly established in August 2020 by Beijing Yihuatong Technology Co., Ltd., Toyota and China first Automobile Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Automobile Group Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd., and Beijing Automobile Group Co., Ltd. FCTS is a joint venture between Yihuatong and Toyota in June 2021.
According to reports, based on the demand of the Chinese market, the two companies have launched two products to the market, namely TL Power 100and TL Power 80. Both products achieve high power density and ultra-long durability of more than 30,000 hours. A series of products suitable for all kinds of commercial vehicle market are under development.
CTOnews.com learned that Toyota Motor pointed out that the company has so far joined hands with Chinese partners to improve the whole process of China's dedicated fuel cell system from development to market input and service.
