According to reports, Sony Alpha 7R V is equipped with Sony's newly developed AI smart chip for the first time. With high-resolution image sensor and Sony's latest BIONZ XR image processor, it can identify and capture the subject more accurately when taking photos and videos. Alpha 7R V can shoot about 61 million pixel still photos and 8K video, set efficient 8-level 5-axis image stabilization, creative appearance, upgraded pixel conversion multiple shooting, new 4-axis multi-angle flip screen.

CTOnews.com learned that the Alpha 7R V uses an approximately 61-megapixel full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor with a new BIONZ XR image processor that can be set to ISO 100-ISO 32000 for both photo and video shooting and supports 15-level photo shooting dynamic range.

Alpha 7R V adds lossless compression RAW format, RAW format image size and quality optional; has 693 phase detection focus points, covering a wider focus range; HEIF format with high quality and high compression ratio; equipped with about 9.44 million points Quad XGA electronic viewfinder.

In terms of video shooting, the Alpha 7R V is capable of 8K 24/25p, 4K 60p and 6.2K oversampled 4K video shooting without pixel merging. Built-in multiple picture profiles, S-Log3 / S-Gamut3.Cine allows it to present about 14 + dynamic ranges, while S-Cinetone can produce more cinematic images.
