The switching station is called HPPEe:, 's first HPPEe: it will be used by the Tokyo metropolitan government to promote the popularity of electric bicycles in the city. Changing the power station is very easy to use. users have a chip card for contactless communication with the changing power station. after swiping the card, they can insert their old battery into an empty battery slot and remove a fully charged battery from another slot. Battery slots are designed with an inclined design to help users insert and remove them easily and quickly. In addition, the old battery plugged into the station will start charging automatically, and the user does not need to do anything.

On the operator side, Honda said that the management of all important functions will be handled by Honda Power components Cloud. The system will manage important matters such as battery charging status, battery location, user registration and payment. In addition, the exchange station integrates a battery cooling function to help avoid damage to the battery unit caused by overheating.

CTOnews.com has learned that Honda HPPEe: switching stations are currently planned to be launched only in Japan and India, and that Honda is also likely to launch such stations in other markets, but the company has not yet announced these plans.
