CTOnews.com, Oct. 28, according to Axios, a new financial document from Microsoft provides information on annual targets related to CEO Satya Nadella (Satya Nadella) compensation, showing that Xbox Game Pass failed to meet its subscriber target for the second year in a row.

It is reported that in order to meet its annual target, Microsoft needs to see 72.88% growth in Xbox Game Pass users in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022, but the actual growth rate is only 28.07%.

This is the second time that Xbox Game Pass growth has failed to meet its internal target. Microsoft aims for 47.79 per cent growth in fiscal 2021, but the final growth rate is 37.48 per cent. The target for fiscal year 2020 is a growth rate of 71%, resulting in a growth rate of 85.75%.

Phil Spencer, head of games at Microsoft, said earlier this week that Game Pass growth on the Xbox mainframe platform was "slowing".

CTOnews.com learned that according to Microsoft, Xbox Game Pass had more than 25 million subscribers as of January 2022. The company recently claimed that it had a Xbox Game Pass installation base of 63 million hosts as part of the UK's Activision investigation into its proposed acquisition.

Spencer also said that Microsoft Xbox Game Pass accounts for "10-15% of the company's total revenue" and that the service is profitable.
