Intel releases a new driver to fix the problem of reduced video memory frequency of Ruixuan A770 16GB graphics card
CTOnews.com, October 28, after several users reported that their Intel Sharp A770 limited edition graphics card (16GB video memory) did not achieve the advertised 17.5 Gbps rate, the video memory frequency decreased.
Now, the problem has been officially fixed by Intel. In the latest sharp Beta version of the driver, Intel acknowledged this problem and released a fix, which seems to be a real driver problem.
Intel officials confirmed that the problem was "their fault" and adopted the newly implemented verification, which is not expected to happen again in the future.
CTOnews.com learned that the Intel Reid A770 graphics card has two versions of 16GB and 8GB memory, the former has a higher display frequency, up to 17.5 Gbps, and the latter is 16 Gbps.
But several users reported that their Intel Regent A770 16GB graphics card was only 16 Gbps, down to the same level as the 8GB version. The information in GPU-Z shows that the frequency of video memory has been reduced from 2187MHz to 2000MHz.
