CTOnews.com, Oct. 30, International data Corporation (IDC) reported that the overall size of China's public cloud service market (IaaS / PaaS / SaaS) reached US $16.58 billion (about 120.537 billion yuan) in the first half of 2022.

Among them, the IaaS market grew by 27.3% year-on-year. The growth rate of the PaaS market was 45.4%. In terms of the IaaS+PaaS market, the growth rate in the first half of 2022 was 30.7% compared with the same period last year, compared with the growth rate in the first half of 2021 (48.7%).

CTOnews.com learned that IDC said that the competitive landscape of the IaaS market and the IaaS+PaaS market changed in the first half of 2022. Although the top five cloud vendors have been occupying more than 70% of the market share, the concentration of the top five manufacturers is slightly lower than that in the first half of 2021 under the strong offensive of other competitors.

According to the report, if only Chinese enterprises or MNC use domestic public cloud resources, Aliyun, Huawei Cloud, Tianyi Cloud, Tencent Cloud and Mobile Cloud account for 37.2%, 12.4%, 11.9%, 11.1% and 5.0% of China's domestic public cloud IaaS market, respectively. If only Chinese companies use overseas public cloud resources and take into account their business in China, AWS has a market share of more than 3x4 (all data are rounded).
