Game designer Alex Camilleri recently shared a named picture of the handle button layout created by his wife on social media, 3DM reported. In the wife's vision, instead of using the traditional X, B, An and Y, the handle keys are treated as a compass and the corresponding directions of each key are named N, S, E and W, respectively.

Naming game console buttons with east, west, north and south does seem more intuitive, but it has been suggested that N S E W may also be incomprehensible to players with a non-English background. Alex Camilleri said that English is not his first language, and that his wife's language uses the Cyrillic alphabet, which is also not an English speaker.
