Steam has been set to display Chinese games as a priority.
CTOnews.com, Nov. 2, Valve announced that gamers on Steam can find games in their native language more easily. In the player's Steam account, go to the language preferences and choose the preferred language and the second language.
According to reports, these choices will affect the games recommended by Steam to players and appear in the discovery feature. In addition, players can use language filters in Steam search to help them find games in their preferred language.
The preferred language will determine which language is used in Steam's user interface, as well as the content of Steam stores and communities-such as game descriptions and user-generated content.
The second language will let players see the content in these languages when content such as store page descriptions and player reviews cannot be displayed in the player's preferred language.
Additional game content languages are not supported in Steam UI, store page descriptions, and user content, but can help you find games that contain content in the language of your choice.
CTOnews.com learned that, according to Valve, developers started tagging games with an extended list of languages a few weeks ago. So far, more than 500 games have added these tags, and the number of games is expected to grow. Some of the new languages that users can filter include Indonesian, Slovak, Malay, Arabic, Hebrew, Serbian, Hindi, etc.
