Honeycomb Energy said that the new lamination technology combines polar thermal recombination and multi-lamination fusion technology, and has achieved a breakthrough in lamination efficiency, reaching 0.125 seconds per sheet, which is more than 200% higher than that of the second generation. At the same time, the area per unit of equipment is reduced by more than 40% compared with the same period last year, and the product safety is better and the production rate is higher.

According to reports, the third generation of high-speed lamination technology of Honeycomb Energy integrates the functions of pole unwinding, cutting, lamination CCD on-line monitoring and hot pressing, which shortens the sheet transfer from pole coil to lamination, reduces the poor processing accuracy between pole cutting and lamination, and improves the rate of good products.

Previously, Honeycomb Energy introduced high-speed lamination technology into square battery production in 2019, when it adopted a 45-degree rotary high-speed lamination process to achieve a single-station lamination efficiency of 0.6 seconds per sheet. In 2020, Honeycomb Energy launched a high-speed lamination process with a single-station lamination efficiency of 0.45 seconds per chip and two simultaneous lamination.

CTOnews.com learned that Honeycomb Energy revealed that the third-generation high-speed lamination technology of Honeycomb Energy has been planned to be used in the honeycomb energy production line and can be quickly realized on a large scale in the future.
