Ant Group publishes Alipay + global data: more than 1 billion users and 2.5 million service providers

CTOnews.com, Nov. 3, at the Singapore Financial Technology Festival (SFF), Ant Group released the latest data on its Alipay + service: covering more than 2.5 million merchants worldwide and more than 1 billion global users.

▲ figures from the official website of Alipay + show that the number of overseas merchants served by Alipay + has increased by 150% in half a year, covering e-commerce, entertainment, catering, travel, duty-free stores, convenience stores, shopping centers, transportation and so on.

CTOnews.com learned that Alipay + is a global cross-border electronic payment and merchant marketing solution launched by Ant Group. Operators centered on small and medium-sized enterprises can provide services to more overseas consumers through Alipay +, making consumers' digital life more convenient and preferential.

Zhao Ying, president of Ant Group's international business, announced the launch of Alipay + D-store, a business digital solution for service sector entities, at the Singapore Financial Technology Festival. Alipay + D-store provides a set of toolkits that digitize merchants' payments, operations, services and marketing. Companies can own digital stores in the form of Mini Program on digital platforms, and digital stores can be developed into H5 pages that can be easily embedded in social media and attract online consumers.

At present, the digital platforms cooperating with Alipay + D-store include Chope, Alipay (Alipay), Touch'n Go e-wallet, AlipayHK and so on.
