CTOnews.com November 3 news, Moore Thread today launched a new multi-functional GPU chip "Chunxiao".

Moore thread multi-function GPU chip "Chunxiao" integrates 22 billion transistors and has a 4096 MUSA core. It has a built-in MUSA architecture general computing core and tensor computing core, which can support computing accuracy such as FP32, FP16 and INT8. GDDR6 video memory is supported, and the bandwidth of video memory can reach 448GB / s. 8k AV1 / H.265 / H264 codec is supported. The PCIe interface is the latest PCIe 5.0specification.

Compared with the previously released Suti chip, Chunxiao's four built-in computing engines have been fully upgraded, bringing significant performance improvements: an average increase of three times in graphics rendering, four times in coding and two times in decoding, and an average four-fold increase in AI computing acceleration and two-and-a-half times in physical simulation performance, officials said. At the same time, new technologies are introduced to support narrowband HD and save more than 30% of the bandwidth.

CTOnews.com learned that Moore Thread is a high-tech integrated circuit company focused on GPU chip design, focusing on R & D and design of full-function GPU chips and related products. Founded in October 2020, the company is committed to innovating a new generation of GPU for meta-computing applications, and building an integrated computing platform that integrates visual computing, 3D graphics computing, scientific computing and artificial intelligence computing.
