Jointly discuss how to create an open and international new platform for the development of WLAN industry, establish a scene-based WLAN authentication system and a complete performance standard system, and unite industry partners to build the best WLAN application experience.

As an important last kilometer access technology, according to statistics, more than 70% of the global network traffic comes from WLAN network access, and the global industrial value will reach 34 trillion in 2025. In the future, the basic communication network will develop into an intelligent network characterized by communication, perception and computing power, and its technical features include: 10 gigabytes of bandwidth, deterministic requirements, and large connections. However, at present, there is still a phenomenon of poor performance in the actual use of WLAN (such as slow network speed, disconnection, etc.), and there are still great challenges in the protection of users' experience.

The birth of WAA Alliance is to make up for this deficiency, to create an open and international WLAN industry development platform, to establish a scene-based WLAN performance standard authentication system (within the alliance), and to build the best WLAN application experience. In order to accomplish this mission, the alliance will take standard + certification + open source as the three starting points, and gradually optimize the customer experience from "connection experience" to "interactive experience" and then to "application experience". In 2023, the Alliance plans to release three sets of evaluation standards and authorize five certified laboratories to ensure the performance of WLAN applications in home, enterprise campus, smart grid, industrial Internet, smart medical care, IoT Internet of things and other scenarios through comprehensive testing of basic performance, coverage performance, channel resource allocation, networking, reliability, anti-interference and other 6 categories and 38 sub-categories.

The vision of the WAA Alliance is a wireless local area network that provides the best experience for the digital world. At this conference, Academician Zhang Ping, chairman of the Alliance, pointed out: "WAA Alliance is an important practice in implementing the national standardization development outline, based in China, going to the world, from the perspective of building the best wireless LAN application experience, and working with IEEE and other international alliances to form a whole ecology and jointly prosper the wireless LAN industry. This is the value of the WAA Alliance."
