As a result, Huawei Mate 50 series broke through the three core technical challenges of high loss, low power and low gain, and became the first mass smartphone in the world to support Beidou satellite messages.

Today, Huawei official announced that the Beidou satellite message function of Mate Xs 2 officially opened the public test! Starting from November 5, 2022, Huawei MateXs2 users can apply for the experience by entering the [my Huawei] App home page-Beidou public testing interface.

In September this year, Huawei launched a series of Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro phones, which are equipped with satellite news, a "poking up the sky" technology. It is the first popular smartphone in the world to support Beidou satellite messages.

CTOnews.com has learned that this function can break through the limitations of the ground network and keep in touch with the outside world by sending messages through the "Beidou Satellite message" service in the App without the coverage of the ground network. At present, this function is limited to Chinese mainland region and does not include Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
