It is worth mentioning that Microsoft Xbox Game Pass Family & Friends subscription includes Xbox Live Gold for group members. However, you must cancel or wait for these existing subscriptions to expire before joining.

CTOnews.com learned that in early tests, Microsoft Xbox could also be converted into a XGP family membership program through XGP Ultimate membership subscriptions, and XGPU members with an exchange ratio of one month could be converted into 18-day XGP family members, which could only be done by primary users and was irreversible.

After Xbox gold members upgrade to XGPU, they have to wait 24 hours before they can be upgraded to family members again.
