Benchlife reports that at Intel Innovation Conference 2022 in Taipei, the company demonstrated live its Xeon Scalable family of processors codenamed Granite Rapids, which is expected to launch in 2024. Next year Intel will launch Sapphire Rapids (2023) and Emerald Rapids (2023).
During the event, Intel showcased its Sapphire / Emerald Rapids"Eagle Stream" platform running DDR5-5600 memory, an upgrade from its previous support for DDR5-4800/5600 memory.
Granite Rapids runs the second half of the DDR5-6400 in-house activity, and Intel also demonstrated that the next-generation Xeon scalable platform Granite Rapids supports faster memory, up to 6400 MT / s in 1DPC (1 DIMM per channel) configurations.
